We have purchased this toy twice now because it is that good. Our foster kittens love to chase the butterfly. Uses batteries so we limit the time it's going, but never had a functional problem with it. Larger cats/kittens may destroy butterfly faster, but replacements can be bought.

Cool at first but then doesn't last overly long. I rolled 2 freezer blocks in teatowels & put them underneat ea mat. I think that helped.

I lost the love of my life (My Maggie) in June this year. She loved this cooking mat, provided I got her the large size. When she passed away, I gave her two mats to dogs in need from a charity. My Maggie sent me a new rescue pupper a month ago, so I needed a mat for her. Of course, I chose this one. Been using them for three years. Word of warning. Don’t put it in freezer for a quick recharge on a 40 degree day and forget it or it will ruin the gel and make it flat and useless. Like all products, they don’t last forever anyway. But it’s the mat of my choice.
There was only one heat pad that lasted 24hours. I thought it was a reheatable pad.
